Applicants should have a strong sense of responsibility and be able to work independently. Experience in characterization of wave functional materials/devices and skill in operation and maintenance of related characterizing facilities are expected. Duties Major responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 1. Responsible for the daily laboratory operation and management; 2. Conduct basic training in the use of laboratory instruments/ facilities to users and ensure smooth operation in support of research and teaching activities; 3. Prepare laboratories for research and course activities; maintain the upkeep of communal equipment, required license and experimental material supplies; 4. Monitor laboratorial safety and access control in compliance with the University's regulations and conduct safety training to all individuals in the laboratories; 5. Provide good support in experiments, research projects and other lab duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements 1. Master’s degree or above in a related field of Science and Engineering is required; 2. Wave functional materials/devices experience is required, such as fabricating and testing electromagnetic/acoustic metamaterials; 3. Instrumentation skill should include but is not limited to the network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, transmission line calibration and characterization, impedance test, antenna test, anechoic chamber system, electromagnetic/acoustic field mapper, automation control, and simulation software; 4. Able to multi-task, detail-minded with good communication skills; 5. Able to work with people from different scientific and engineering disciplines; 6. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
