Job Purpose:
To provide comprehensive pastoral and emotional support to students, ensuring their well-being, engagement, and academic success. The role also involves fostering strong partnerships between the school and families, fostering positive relationships to support students' academic and personal development, addressing barriers to learning, and promoting a safe and inclusive school environment.
Essential Requirements:
1. At least 2 years’ experience in similar role working with children/young people including pastoral, mentoring, or welfare etc.
2. Experience managing sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
3. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
4. Excellent Mandarin and English language skills.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage students and parents empathetically.
Desirable Requirements:
1. Knowledge of SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) strategies.
2. Knowledge of SEND processes.
3. Counseling qualification.
4. Experience with restorative justice approaches.
